- Payware Planes For X Plane 11
My very first model! I have a soft spot in my heart for the classic Dash 8 series of aircraft and decided to make it my first project for an X-Plane aircraft. The majority of this project was done in Plane Maker and augmented with Blender objects. It comes with two liveries: Bare White and Horizon Air's first livery. I plan to release some repaints in the future, but for now I'm happy with the basic model. Aircraft Simulates the Dash 8-102 Series, with optional PW 121 Engines and APU. Cockpit is only 2D, but plan to Update this model in the future with VC and other modern touches. Edited 13 minutes ago by Starvingpilot
- Oh, another thing.I cannot find certain freeware model planes for X-Plane 11 that are available for either 9 or 10 but not 11. An example is the King Air. It is missing two critical instruments. Also cannot locate a modern version of the Learjet for X-plane 11. Maybe someone here can direct me to some small freeware business jets.

Gaston's White River Resort began 61 years ago when Al Gaston, Jim Gaston's father, purchased 20 acres of White River frontage with six small cottages and six boats...the year was 1958. Present day, Jim’s grandson - Clint Gaston - will carry on the family legacy for many years to come. The resort now covers over 400 acres, and has 79 cottages ranging in size from two double beds to ten private bedrooms. The airstrip has grown from 1,800 feet to 3,200 feet. The six boats are now over 70, and with a state of the art dock to hold them all. The years have brought an award winning restaurant, private club, gift shop, tennis court, playground, game room, duck pond, three nature trails, swimming pool, conference lodge, and fly fishing school. I added near-by points of interest in Bull Shoals. See if you can find the sleeping dog at Gaston's. Extract and drop into X-Plane 11/Custom Scenery.

Starting with X-Plane 11, all aircraft must be installed in a folder within “Aircraft”.* We’re taking this opportunity to normalize where Aircraft are installed (all other files have to go in ‘the right’ folder, e.g. Weapons, Airfoils, Custom Scenery, etc.). This will let us search a much smaller footprint of files to find installed aircraft, which speeds up the UI.
Our aircraft are in a folder called “Laminar Research” within Aircraft; my suggestion is that vendors (and a lot of you are already doing this) have your own folder in Aircraft where aircraft go.
The goal is to have a file structure where it is not necessary to reorganize where files live or deconflict, so that automatic updaters (ours and third parties) can find the files they installed. The old folders-with-categories-of-aircraft are now gone.
You can make any set of folders within Aircraft you want, and when you search in the UI, you can search by folder names. But we also provide a bunch of other ways to find aircraft, e.g. type, studio, number of engines, or file name search.
*If you thought X-Plane already required it, well…nope – X-Plane 10 will load an aircraft anywhere in the X-Plane folder. This is only true for Aircraft – everything else has to go in the right bucket.
